Ringing in the New Year
A New Year Dawns
The New Year has come and things are already moving forward at a brisk pace here at our Menlo Park, California operation. Our Service Dogs in Training – Schatzie, Ozzy and Sully are back in action after some much needed rest, relaxation and recuperation during the holidays. Our innovative Canine Assisted Warrior Therapy ™ groups are ramping up as 2019 rolls forward. We are off to a great start doing what we love most – helping America’s Warriors in need.
New Programming – First Milestone
PPH Menlo Park completed our first Canine Assisted Warrior Therapy ™ group session of 2019 at the San Francisco VA Health Care System (SFVA) this month. Our Services Dog in Training loved being reunited with their wonderful Veterans for some beneficial therapy designed to reduce PTSD and TBI symptoms. They also loved the awesome views of San Francisco Bay! See Ozzy and Sully with their Veteran trainers working on their “Go In” commands (photo below). They can’t wait to go back for the next session at the SFVA.

Big Donation Helps our Mission
We were recently visited by Jim and Ethel at the Every Little Life Matters Foundation. They generously donated to our program here in Menlo Park, California. This donation will help enrich our therapeutic programs for Warriors greatly. Service Dog in Training Ozzy and Facility Dog Webb will be better able to help Warriors who are facing daily trauma-related challenges thanks to this wonderful contribution.
Join in and help us accomplish our mission! Check out our volunteer program and consider making a donation today.
