That’s A Wrap!

Nationwide Fundraiser

With the month of June coming to a close, the Paws for Purple Hearts team is wrapping up a number of different events! As many of you know, we are celebrating our eleventh year as an organization and have been participating alongside our volunteers and donors in an 11 mile walk-a-thon called Pawsitive Miles for Positive Minds. This fundraising event has opened many doors to wonderful conversations with our volunteers and created connections with our communities. We have been so grateful to see you all march alongside us during this month to help continue to support our mission!

Our fundraiser this year was about more than connecting with our community, though, it was also about promoting a healthy mindset, encouraging everyone to take a step away from their world and get outdoors for some mental health time. Through exercising outdoors with others, you can greatly improve your mood and overall day, as well as growing closer with other PPH supporters! We are extremely grateful for all those that participated and want to extend another thank you to everyone who came out and walked those 11 miles!

Sites In The Spotlight

Earlier in the month, our PPH site in Virginia had an amazing opportunity to appear on their local news station WTVR Channel 6 News, as well as our San Diego site who was just recently featured on KUSI Good Morning San Diego! The news crew at both sites were lucky enough to meet our brand new puppies in training, which was extremely exciting for everyone involved. For two sites in one month to be featured in such a massive way is a phenomenal feeling for everyone at PPH. Being featured in the news gave us the opportunity to give local donors and volunteers a peek into our two amazing training facilities and what we do on a daily basis that makes PPH a success! From talking about our dogs, their training, and the sessions we are able to do with them, we are truly grateful to have been highlighted in the news.

June has been an incredibly busy month full of action packed days! We continue to feel immense gratitude to all those who watch what we do and support us. Through continued hard work and determination, we strive to bring the best Service Dogs and therapy sessions to Veterans all over the country! If you’d like to continue to support these sessions, don’t forget you can always donate on our website or volunteer in a variety of different ways! We are always accepting donations of different kinds as well, so feel free to give us a call if you have any furniture or household items you’re no longer using that might be useful to our team at (844) 700-PAWS!

Looking to help our cause? We couldn’t do what we do without our supporters! Please consider helping us spread the word about our mission to your community. Your support allows us to continue to fulfill our mission in helping Veterans and Active Duty Service Members. By simply helping us get the word out there, you are helping us to continue to fulfill our mission. Please also consider a monetary donation or donating from our Amazon Wishlist to help our cause.
