As part of our continued commitment to help more of America’s Warriors overcome the visible and hidden wounds resulting from military service to our nation, Paws for Purple Hearts is opening a newly renovated state-of-the-art facility in San Diego, California.
Our new facility will allow us to provide San Diego area Warriors with our innovative, life-changing Canine Assisted Warrior Therapy® during which we help reduce the symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and traumatic brain injury (TBI) by involving Warriors with those conditions in the training, handling and preparation of the assistance dogs that will go on to serve their fellow Warriors. Our Master of Ceremonies will be Liberty Zavala, award-winning anchor/reporter, NBC San Diego. Special guests will include elected officials, local community luminaries and San Diego area military Veterans and active duty Service Members. And of course, our puppies and service dogs in training will be there to extend a welcome paw. We will serve light refreshments, provide service dog demonstrations and tours of the facility.
