Details have been announced for the 13th Annual FEST OF TAILS – Kite Festival and Dog Fair at McAllister Park. This year’s FEST OF TAILS will take place from 9:00am through 4:00pm on Saturday, March 16th, 2019. As always, the event is 100% FREE to the public, and families are encouraged to bring the kids and the pups, and enjoy a day of free fun in the park.
FEST OF TAILS brings approximately 8,000 attendees each year, from all over the Central-Texas region, consisting of kite-flyers, k9 enthusiasts, bicyclists, and parks-lovers.
In continuation with tradition, this year will feature the return of the GIANT KITE exhibition from Go Big Or Go Home, and the always popular, Pooch Parade and Costume Contest, which will consist of Best Dressed, Best Dog/Owner, and Best in Show. Other fun activities will include kite-building workshop and hospital, pet adoptions, live music, Mobile Fit, Zumba Sessions, kids games and rides, face-painters, local craft merchants and vendors, a bike clinic, and tons of fun foods and yummy drinks throughout the park. Information on pet registration, vaccinations, and more, will also be available through various participating animal welfare organizations.
